The results are in for MLK Middle School’s Student Government (SGOV) team for the 2024-2025 school year! With students from each grade represented, the newly elected team is ready to bring fresh ideas and enthusiasm to campus life.
Student Government Advisor
Guiding this year’s team is Ms. Ulrich, who provides valuable support, advice, and oversight, ensuring the students can bring their ideas to life in a positive and productive way.
Student Government Team and Representatives
President: Justin Chen (Grade 8)
Leading the student body this year is Justin Chen, a dedicated 8th grader with a clear vision for making school a better place for everyone. His slogan, “Opportunity For All,” has inspired students to believe in his mission, and he’s excited to work with his team to implement new initiatives that enhance student life.
Vice Presidents:
Supporting Justin in leading the SGOV are three capable Vice Presidents, one from each grade, ensuring that all voices are heard:
• Donte Mays (Grade 8)
• Edmond Wu (Grade 7)
• Katelyn Li (Grade 6)
Each VP will bring grade-specific insights to help make decisions that resonate with the entire student body.
Secretary: Lilah Lee (Grade 8)
As Secretary, Lilah Lee will keep the SGOV organized and informed, documenting meetings and making sure communication flows smoothly within the team and across the school.
Treasurer: Kimberly (Grade 6)
Kimberly, takes on the role of Treasurer. She’ll be managing SGOV’s budget and ensuring financial transparency.
